A simple copied movie from English block buster is the movie “Aan-Men at work”. This movie was released in 2004. Although it was copied, the original concept would have been the same having seen the situation of Bombay. This movie is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and is produced by firoz Nadiadwala.
The script is totally based on the under-world and minister level relation that prevailed in Mumbai. DCP Hari Om Patnaik is an honest police inspector who has been put in the duty of special branch with a bunch of semi-corrupted policemen named cont. Khaled(Paresh Rawal), shooter Appa kadam Naik(Sunil Shetty) and senior inspector Vikram(Shatrughan Sinha).
Regarding the murder of a famous businessman, they all get indulged and suddenly they all found something to bring down the corrupt government. Commisioner Khurana(Om puri) gave them the support and they were like hound to search all the illegal business in Mumbai. All these made Gautam Walia(Jackie Shroff) under a lot of stress. His stress increased with the detaching of Yusuf Pathan(Irfan) by the police. Just before the climax, a trap took away the life of Appa which just fumed the flame inside Om Patnaik & Vikram. Finally, with the help of judge, they were able to pull out the victory in that case and stop illegal business in Mumbai.
The music is an adrenalin booster with lot of item songs. Music is composed by Anu Malik. A song sung by Sherya and Udit Narayan topped the charts.
